In the immediate wake of the earthquake, Pioneer Consulting activated its crisis management team in Atlanta to coordinate response operations for a number of clients preparing to deploy staff to the Port-au-Prince area. Pioneer’s team is made up of security, medical and logistics experts all of which have extensive experience of supporting operations in difficult environments.
Pioneer deployed an incident management team to Haiti on 13th January. The team consists of a number of security specialists, a medical team and a logistic coordinator to assist with coordination and travel arrangements.
Pioneer continues to provide support to non-profit and humanitarian organizations as well as the media covering the disaster. Most organizations are seeking advice and assistance as they deploy their staff to Haiti, as well as setting up base locations to support and sustain ongoing relief efforts.
